Double v. City of St. Charles
The Clinic filed a lawsuit on behalf of our client challenging a municipality’s solicitation and obstruction ordinances on First Amendment and due process grounds after the client was repeatedly cited and arrested for allegedly violating the ordinances while standing near roadways while holding a sign reading “Homeless Disabled Vet.” In response to our lawsuit, the city amended one of the challenged ordinances, repealed the other ordinance, and entered a settlement agreement resolving our client’s claims.
